What Is Vaping?

What is Vaping? Is It Safe?

Firstly, Vaping is not smoking.Vaping utilizes a Propylene Glycol and/or Vegetable Glycerin based liquid, mixed with small amounts of nicotine (optional) and food grade flavouring that then get vaporized in a battery powered atomizer, simulating the experience of smoking.

The facts.

PG gives more of a “throat hit” sensation and carries the flavor very well. VG is thicker, gives less throat hit, but will produce more vapor. Juices come in all ratios of PG and VG. We at VanGo Vapes provide an option for most of our products which allows you to choose what ratio of VG/PG you'd like to buy.The vapor created is inhaled and exhaled much like smoking a cigarette – that is why vaping is considered a safer alternative to smoking, minus several of the adverse effects of the latter: no bad smell and bad breath, no yellow teeth or wrinkles, no cigarette burns, no more dirty ashtrays, less likelihood of getting cancer and other smoking-affiliated illnesses – you get the drift. In addition, the World Health Organization is being told by many scientists that “these products could be among the most significant health innovations of the 21st century — perhaps saving hundreds of millions of lives.” (Via CBC News)

The History.

Contrary to what many of us believe, vaping ‘came into being’ as far back as over five decades ago (1960s to be exact). Back then it was not what it is today – but that is to be expected. Vaporizers at the time weren’t easy to carry around. They were more of a static, tabletop kind. The big brain behind their modernization was Hon Lik, a Chinese pharmacist who took inspiration from the death of his father.Cause? Cancer from smoking. He called this device a Ruyan, which loosely translated means ‘like smoke’.The Ruyan proved to be a hit, and it slowly vaporized its way into North America in the mid-2000s, and here, vaping was born.

About the device.

AKA: Electronic Cigarette; e-Cig; e-Cigarette; e-Cigarello; Vape; Vapor; Vaporizer; Rig; Techno-fogger.E-cigarettes come in all shapes and sizes ranging from cigarette-looking devices like the Ego and iTaste e-cigs, to larger more powerful devices such as box mods, tube mods, and other regulated and non-regulated devices. These larger devices use a bigger battery and require a bit more care and know-how regarding their operation. They also look nothing like a cigarette, which as you will find, the more your device looks like a cigarette, the less performance and satisfaction you will get from it.

the e-Juice itself.

AKA: e liquid; e juice; e-liquid; e-juice.Liquid is generally categorized in “milligrams” or "mg" of nicotine. Ranging from 0 mg up to 50 mg and sometimes higher, more nicotine will create a stronger throat sensation that is commonly referred to as a “throat hit”. It’s up to the user to decide how much nicotine they want to use. As noted earlier, juice is made up of PG and VG. You can rest assured that at VanGo Vapes we take pride in only using the best and highest quality materials in a clean and safe lab. In fact, we pride ourselves so much in the quality and flavor of our juices that we coined the term Flaving!
